Wat Athvear (Khmer: ប្រាសាទវត្តអធ្វារ) is on the grounds of a modem Buddhist monastery.
Wat Athvear's layout, with a mandapa connected to the central sanctuary, is typical of temples of the same period, such as Thommanon Temple and Banteay Samre Temple. The presence of four ‘libraries’ within the first enclosure, is, however, unique.
Six devatas decorate the interior walls of the mandapa.
