Sugriva

Sugriva was the monkey-king, ally of Rama in the Ramayana.

Sugriva was the younger brother of Valin, whom he succeeded as ruler of the vanara kingdom of Kishkindha.  He was the son of Surya, the Hindu deity of sun.
