1 min read

The reachisey is a mythical animal, similar to the gajasimha, with the the head of a lion, minute elephant-ine trunk on the nose, a distinct goatee, an elongated body with the ventral side covered in scales like a dragon, and four short legs.  It occurs at Angkor Wat Temple in the epic bas reliefs of the outer gallery, and along the lower step of the southern wall of the large pool in the Royal Palace.
