Yama
Yama, the guardian of the southern territories, is the Vedic god of the dead.
Yama is the supreme arbitrator, the judge of human deeds who decides, with the help of two assistants, whether one will be sent to the Heavens or to the Hells.
At Angkor Wat Temple, on the 'Heavens and Hells' bas-relief, the multi-armed Yama is depicted seated on a buffalo (his vahana) holding sixteen swords.
