Books of the Library and Gallery

In a world of passing images, these volumes endure as sanctuaries — each page a portal into silence, myth, and stone. Within them, the works of Lucas Varro unfold in two voices: the Gallery of images and the Library of words.

Some are monographs of the Spirit of Angkor series, crafted from analogue black-and-white film and hand-toned with quiet devotion — bound meditations shaped by years of intimate return. Others are books of story and reflection: mythic retellings, field journals, and contemplative essays drawn from Angkor and beyond.

Stone and light. Memory and myth. The scent of rain on old lintels, the hush before morning, the voices of gods and apsaras remembered in chalk and ink. To hold these works is to dwell inside the image and the word, to walk barefoot among ruins and stories alike.
