Offerings of the Present: Photographs of Contemporary Pagodas in Cambodia

Amid the ancient stones and jungle silence, new sanctuaries rise—painted gold, wrapped in saffron, alive with incense and the murmur of daily devotion.  These contemporary pagodas, though young in age, pulse with the same spirit that shaped Angkor: reverence, resilience, and radiant faith.

This collection is a quiet encounter with Cambodia’s living sacred.  Through both black and white and colour film, I’ve sought not contrast, but continuity—capturing the grace, symbolism, and soulful presence of modern temples rooted in timeless tradition.
